Ekwezor offers Message Of Hope, Development And Genuine Service
House of Representatives hopeful under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dr. Augustine Azubuike Ekwezor continued his wide-reaching grassroots interaction across communities in Awka North Local Government Area as support steadily grew ahead of the party’s primary election for Awka North and Awka South Federal Constituency.
From one community to another, Dr Ekwezor consistently delivered a message centred on honest leadership, people-focused representation and meaningful development, while residents and party stakeholders openly expressed confidence in his aspiration.
Strong Endorsement At Isuaniocha Stakeholders Meeting
At the stakeholders meeting in Isuaniocha town, Dr Ekwezor said his aspiration was driven by the desire to improve the lives of people in Awka North and Awka South Federal Constituency.
According to him, politics should move beyond personal interest and empty promises.
He assured the gathering that he possesses the experience and capacity to win both the primary and the general election while attracting meaningful projects that would benefit the constituency.
“I have not come to discuss politics with you but your welfare,” he stated, adding that Awka North deserved better treatment and honest leadership.
Former President-General of Isuaniocha Development Union and Convener of IDE Global Stakeholders Forum Awka North, Hon. Richard Okoye, described Dr Ekwezor as the best opportunity for quality representation in the constituency.
Also speaking, Coordinator of Anambra Patriots in Awka North, Hon. Samuel Okoye, said Dr Ekwezor had remained a dependable and trustworthy man over the years.
Hon. Joseph Nwankwo from Urum community equally expressed confidence in him, assuring him of massive support from Urum during the primary election.
Awba Ofemmili Residents Back Call For Change
During his visit to Awba Ofemmili, Dr Ekwezor urged residents not to allow past political disappointments repeat themselves in 2027.
He described himself as a peace-loving leader committed to transforming Awka North through unity, inclusion and purposeful representation.
Community leader, Ozor Bernard Anielo, said the people had suffered enough deception and deserved genuine representation.
Justice Obikwado Obiyelu, Coordinator of IDE Global Movement in Awba Ofemmili, praised Dr Ekwezor’s humility, accessibility and non-discriminatory approach, describing him as a true man of the people.
Ugbene Community Sees Hope In Ekwezor
Speaking in Ugbene town, Dr Ekwezor told residents that Awka North would have experienced a different reality if the right decisions had been taken in 2023.
He promised quality representation capable of bringing visible development projects to the area.
Director-General of IDE Campaign Organisation, Hon. Eugene Nweke, said the constituency needed a credible representative with the capacity to defend the interests of the people.
Hon. Peter Ughanwa, Coordinator of IDE Global Movement in Ugbene Ward and Awka North, described Dr Ekwezor as “the transformer of the Obizi axis,” noting that he had been changing lives long before joining active politics.
Scholarship Gesture Excites Ugbenu Residents
In Ugbenu town, Dr Ekwezor further demonstrated his humanitarian side when he offered educational scholarships to infants present at the gathering as well as unborn children through the IDE Global Foundation.
He stressed that his passion for helping people existed long before politics.
Hon. Oliver Afam, Coordinator of IDE Global Movement in Ugbenu Ward, described him as a man with a large heart whose concern for humanity remains genuine.
Hon. Eugene Nweke also maintained that Dr Ekwezor stood out as the credible and trustworthy choice for the constituency.
Emotional Moments In Ebenebe
At Ebenebe, activities began with a minute silence in honour of late APGA Ward II Chairman, Hon. Monday Ejianya.
Dr Ekwezor explained that his humanitarian foundation had spent the last 15 years transforming lives and that a seat in the House of Representatives would give him a bigger platform to reach more people.
He pledged to serve only one term if elected, promising to support another candidate from Awka North afterwards.
Mobiliser of IDE Global Movement, Hon. Emmanuel Okonkwo, said the time had come to change the political story of the constituency for good.
Coordinator of IDE Global Movement in Ebenebe, Hon. Josephat Obi, expressed confidence that victory for Dr Ekwezor would usher in positive change.
Mrs Mary Jane Mbiko, Coordinator of IDE Women Ambassador and Secretary of IDE Global Movement in Ebenebe, urged women to vote massively for him.
In his remarks, Rev. Fr Augustine Ewelu of Joseph Catholic Church, Ebenebe, commended the orderly conduct of Dr Ekwezor’s supporters and praised his humanitarian spirit.
Isuaniocha Town Visit Produces Heartwarming Scholarship Offer
At the Isuaniocha town event, Dr Ekwezor again insisted that the true essence of politics was the welfare of the people.
He promised to bring fresh ideas and rescue the constituency from poor representation.
The gathering became emotional when he awarded a scholarship to one-and-half-year-old Master Chibueze from nursery school to university level.
Overwhelmed with joy, the child’s mother, Mrs Chiamaka Okeke from Umuelem Village, prayed for God’s blessings and electoral success for him.
Chief Damian Nnaemena, APGA leader in Isuaniocha, assured him of total support from the community.
Hon. Uchenna Obiora, Coordinator of IDE Global Movement in Isuaniocha Ward, declared that the town recognised no other aspirant for the APGA primary.
Chief Charles Okoye also said the community was prepared for the positive change Awka North had long desired.
Urum And Amanuke Reaffirm Support
In Urum town, Dr Ekwezor said the IDE Global Foundation had remained committed to empowering people and easing hardship over the years.
He promised to bring visible change if given the opportunity to represent the constituency at the Federal House of Representatives.

At Amanuke town, Dr Ekwezor described himself as “a good tree that bears productive fruits,” promising people-oriented representation focused on welfare and infrastructure.
Former President-General of Amanuke Development Union and Chairman of Anambra Patriots in Awka North, Hon. Samuel Okoye, declared that Amanuke people were solidly behind Dr Ekwezor ahead of the APGA primary election.
