Screening of Police Recruits Happening in Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command has received a Police Recruitment Team to oversee the screening of candidates seeking enlistment into the Nigeria Police Force in the state.

According to a press statement by spokesperson of the Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the team, which arrived at the Command Headquarters in Awka on March 9, 2026, comprises officials from the Police High Command, the Police Service Commission, the Federal Character Commission, the Federal Ministry of Police Affairs, and other relevant stakeholders.

He disclosed that the team is in the state to supervise the physical and credential screening of applicants who earlier applied for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force.

The screening exercise, which commenced on March 9, is scheduled to run daily until April 18, 2026, at the Anambra State Police Command Headquarters, Awka.

Shortlisted candidates are expected to appear for the exercise on their designated dates with all required documents, including original copies of their academic credentials and other necessary materials.

The Command urged candidates to conduct themselves in an orderly manner, comply with all screening guidelines, and cooperate fully with officials throughout the process.

It also reiterated that the recruitment exercise is free of charge and warned applicants to be wary of individuals who may attempt to extort money from them.
