The Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu has solicited the support of Association of Past President Generals of Communities(APPAS) ahead of November 8th Gubernatorial election in Anambra state
Ukachukwu, who made the plea when he visited the group at Amawbia Town Hall, assured of his commitment to introduce innovative and disruptive policies geared towards transforming the state.
He pledged to foster a robust partnership with community leaders and associations such as APPAS to galvanize development oriented initiatives from the grassroots.
While identifying the concerns of the state to include insecurity and Infrastructural deficit, he promised to introduce stronger measures to secure lives, initiative agric value chain revolution and build power plant to energise industrial clusters.
“In Anambra, it is either you are manufacturing , trading or farming. We will provide the enabling environment for these activities to thrive. Academic certificates or grammar do not build industries, power and security.
“We are confident of victory, the President has charged us to win Anambra for APC, and we will rise to that challenge”
Responding, the National President of the association, Mazi Omeife Omeife, wished him well in his political journey, emphasizing that they would assess campaign manifestos of all the contestants to determine their next line of action.
The event featured a prayer session by members of the association for the Candidate.
