YPP Candidate Mulls N200billion Business Venture Capital, Framework For Apprenticeship System

Gubernatorial Candidate of the Young Progressives Party YPP, Sir Paul Chukwuma, has declared his intention to set aside N200 billion venture capital to support businesses if he becomes the next governor of the state.

He added that under the arrangement, a sustainable policy framework for Igbo apprenticeship system, which had helped to produce many successful business people in the state will be introduced.

Sir Chukwuma was speaking at DCC Nnewi, Nnewi North local government area in continuation of his campaign tour.

The Governorship Hopeful who received emphatic support from His Highness, Obi George Onyekaba, described Igbo apprenticeship system as vital to promoting entrepreneurship.

He assured the gathering that under his watch enabling environment will be created for businesses to thrive in the state.

“We shall deploy policy framework for sustainability of the apprenticeship system. This framework shall also accommodate our youths without higher education and shall include a venture capital of N200biliion, solely for our business community.

“This is to ensure that we take back our withering advantage in commerce, industry, and innovation”

The YPP flag bearer who appreciated the support of the enterprising people of the community, acknowledged their support for the party, which he described as a mass movement.

“We also observed that Nnewi roads are in such a terrible state. This is especially very unfortunate. We shall fix Nnewi roads as a matter of both urgency and priority for our government”
